Melisma Music Therapy Services offers both traditional private music lessons and adaptive music lessons to individuals in Wooster, OH, and the surrounding communities. Lessons are taught by Kathy Lindberg, a board-certified music therapist and musician. Kathy offers lessons on the clarinet, piano, and recorder.
Sometimes traditional music lessons are not appropriate for students due to physical and/or cognitive challenges. In such cases, Kathy also offers adaptive music lessons, on a variety of instruments, to children and adults. Adaptive music lessons are person-centered and customized to meet the special needs of students, promoting a successful music making experience as well as targeting therapeutic goals when appropriate.
